I was born in Holland and first took up classical piano lessons at the tender age of 8. At the age of 16 I met up with Rob Agerbeek and his Boogie Woogie trio at a local concert. Rob Agerbeek is a very famous Dutch Jazz/Boogie Woogie player, and changed my musical direction towards the Boogie Woogie Style. At 18 I moved on to Jazz and attended the Jazz Academy in Amsterdam for 2 years. I have a very good ear for music, as I'm also a Qualified Piano Tuner. I still meet up with Rob Agerbeek once a month in my never ending quest to perfect my Boogie Woogie style of piano playing. My ambition is to become a professional Boogie Woogie/Jazz piano player.
