Hi I'm Jacques Covo from Switzerland
I've lived in Geneva since 1964; I went to school in Istanbul and Grenoble (France), with a passage in Montreal (1969-1971) where I had the occasion to play at "Your Father's Moustache" twice. My professional activity consists essentially in advising companies trading in agricultural commodities, thus New Zealand barley or Australia wheat are commodities on which I may be called to advise with respect to their relating export contracts.
I recently gave a Boogie Woogie concert at the Annecy (France) Jazz Club, located about 20 miles from Geneva. The following concert is on the 14th March at the Jazz Club of the Geneva, the ‘’Contretemps’’ (off-beat) and then on 15 August at the annual ‘’Fête de l’eau’’ (Water’s festival) at Rumilly which is known for attracting each year several thousands people of the region of Savoy (the high Alps) in France.
I'm Married to Yvette we have three daughters Jennifer, Winnie and Audrey.
I would like to also express here my special gratitude to Giovanni Badia, piano and harmony teacher recently retired from the Geneva Popular Conservatory, for helping and supporting me stay grounded in the music l love throughout the years, and who when back to Geneva from his Rome home, kindly give me coaching lessons.
