Luca's Boogie Woogie Piano
Hi I'm Luca Sestak and I live in Germany
How I became interested in Boogie Woogie music.
My electric piano has a function that allows me to play midi songs.
I also owned a midi disc version of 'Solfeggietto'.
However, this version has a Jazz part, which I liked very much, and so I
searched for it on YouTube. (Maybe some of you have the same version as
mine). But I could not find it because I was searching under "Jazz". However, I did find it under "MINI Jazz PIANO Song" at http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=sTUEn7-qnf4 but there wasn't the Jazz part I was searching for like om my midi disc. At that time I only liked that song.
In the search description is says"Jazz-BLUES with walking bass, improvised..." so I
completed another searched under "Blues" on YouTube.
After a long time I found Boogie Woogie & Blues (piano solo) #1 by
Daniel Paterok. It sounds so great!!
Because the name search also contains the words "Boogie Woogie" I also found
many other "Boogie Woogie" tunes on YouTube, and they all sounded great.
After a time I not only wanted to listen to Boogie Woogie, but I also wanted
to Play it!
At first I didn't want to buy Boogie Woogie sheet music, so I searched for
midi songs on the Internet, and found "Erik Vastenburgs Boogie Woogie Corner" site http://www.geocities.com/erikvastenburg/
there I found "Colorado Boogie" the very first Boogie Woogie piece, I ever
learnt to play.
Some day's I found it hard to learn from midi songs, so I bought myself a copy of "The Real
Blues 'n' Boogie Buch" by Chr. Willisohn and Herbert Wiedemann. With the help of
this awesome book I learned the most important Boogie Woogie techniques and
I learned "Go Str8 4 it", "Boogie Woogie Stomp", "Just a Blues" and a few
more...
So I finally arrived at Boogie Woogie and Blues.
