Hi my name is Matthew Sandin. I was born in Sweden and got my first piano at the age of 5. I first xperienced boogie woogie when I was about 7 years old. I heard a record of Charlie Norman playing his boogie version of Anitras Dance by Greig and since then i've tryed to learn to play boogie woogie piano. I first got caught in Jerry Lee Lewis' boogie woogie style and started to sing and play old Rock 'n' Roll classics like "Whole lotta' Shakein' goin' on" and "Lewis Boogie" until I saw a video of Carl "sonny" Leyland improvising on Honky Tonk Productions Homesite at the age of 10. After watching those videos it took me only 2 months to learn his technique and some boogie phrases. Now I'm 15 and all I want to do is continue learning boogie.
