Hi my name is Mike Lattrell
I'm an American musician born and raised in the Adirondack Mountain region of upstate New York. I lived in New York City for over 10 years before I traded the Metropolitan for the Mediterranean and moved to the south of France in 2002.
I've toured/recorded/played with Christine Santelli, Popa Chubby, Bill Perry, Todd Wolfe, Jerry Dugger, Vann “Piano Man” Walls, Richie Havens, Buddy Miles, Hubert Sumlin, Rab McCullough, Big Ed Sullivan, Arthur Neilson, Peter Karp, Popsy Dixon, Bill Sims Jr, Jimmy Thackery, Rudy Ray Moore, Grant Green Jr, Hugh Pool, Joe Taino, Irving Louis Latin, Dana Fuchs, Mason Casey, Frankie Paris, Craig Dreyer, Joyous Perrin, Pat Cisarano, Chris Carter, Blue Muse, Big Frank, Dana Mars, Lisa Bonner, Galea, Ian Kent and many others.
I currently lead my own groups – The Mike Lattrell Trio and The Mike Lattrell Band and play with Les Marvellous Pig Noise and The Soul Travelers Quartet.
However, I'm not a true Boogie Woogie pianist. Boogie Woogie is a real specific genre of piano playing. I would consider myself more of a New Orleans style pianist with some Boogie Woogie influences.
